02What the project limit means
The project limit is the largest single contract your category lets you bid for. A C-6 firm can bid a PKR 20 million job but not a PKR 40 million one; for that it needs C-5. Procuring agencies check this against the tender value, so the category has to be right before you bid, not after.
03Professional credit points (PCPs)
PCPs come from the engineers attached to your firm. Each category needs a minimum total, and the requirement climbs steeply at the top: 5 at C-6, 35 at C-2, 200 at C-A. Upgrades usually stall on PCPs and engineers rather than on money.
04Net worth
Each category has a minimum net worth, shown through bank evidence such as a closing-balance or net-worth certificate. Plan this early: bank paperwork takes time to arrange.
05Where these numbers come from
Limits, PCPs, engineer requirements and council fees follow the PEC constructor schedule published on pec.org.pk, cited effective 1 January 2017 unless PEC notifies a new schedule. Alqaim Engineers does not set these numbers. Confirm the live challan on the official portal before you pay.
