Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Alqaim Engineers is the trading name of Al Qaim Engineering Association, an independent compliance consultancy in Lahore that prepares and files PEC, SECP, FBR and related applications for engineering and construction firms. We decide how and why the personal information described here is used, and we are responsible for it.

We are not the Pakistan Engineering Council, SECP, FBR or any other authority. Approvals are those bodies’ decisions.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us when you contact us or ask us to work a file:

• Your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address and the name of your firm
• Details and copies of documents a filing needs — for example CNICs, NTN and tax records, bank certificates, PEC licences and engineer cards, company and partnership papers, work orders and letterheads
• The messages, voice notes, photos and files you send us
• Payment and invoice records for our professional fee

Information we receive through WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram:

• When you message our WhatsApp Business number, we receive your WhatsApp profile name, your phone number, the content of your messages and their delivery and read status.
• When you message our Facebook Page or Instagram account, we receive your public profile name and the messages you send.

Information from this website:

• The website has no accounts, no sign-up and no database of visitors. The calculator, checklist and other tools run in your browser; what you enter is not sent to us.
• The consultation form only composes a WhatsApp message that you choose to send from your own phone.
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores one setting locally — the language you chose.
• We count page views and clicks on our WhatsApp, phone and email links on our own server, to see which pages are useful. Each count records only the page, the language, the country and the time — no cookie, no identifier and no IP address — and stays with us.
• Like every website, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and request time to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

3. How we use it

• To answer your questions and give you a quote
• To prepare, file and follow up the applications you ask us to handle
• To send you updates about your file — status, queries from an authority, documents still needed, challans, biometric appointments, and renewal or expiry reminders
• To invoice our professional fee and keep the accounting records the law requires
• To keep our services, website and messaging secure and to prevent fraud or misuse

We use your information because you asked us to provide a service, because you consented, because we have a legitimate business need to run and secure our service, or because the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.

4. WhatsApp messaging

• We message you on WhatsApp only after you have contacted us first or have given us your number for updates about your file.
• Messages are about your enquiry or your file. We do not send unrelated promotional messages without your separate consent.
• You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us in any message, call or email. We will confirm and stop.
• We use the WhatsApp Business service provided by Meta. Messages pass through Meta’s systems under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy, and Meta may process them outside Pakistan.

5. Who we share it with

• The authority you instruct us to file with — such as the Pakistan Engineering Council, SECP, FBR, provincial revenue authorities, AEDB, IPO Pakistan or a certification body — and only what that filing requires
• Service providers that help us operate — Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram), our email provider, and our website host and security provider — who may only use it to provide their service to us
• A court, regulator or law-enforcement agency where the law requires it

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages for as long as the conversation is useful and file records for as long as your engagement with us lasts, plus the period Pakistani law requires for accounting and tax records. After that we delete it or remove anything that identifies you. You can ask us to delete it sooner — see section 9.

7. How we protect it

Only the people working your file can see your documents. Our devices and accounts are password-protected, our website is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and we never publish client documents. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care and will tell you if a problem affects your information.

8. Your rights

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete it
• Withdraw your consent and stop WhatsApp or other messages at any time

Contact us using the details in section 12. We answer within 30 days.

9. How to delete your data

You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you, including your WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram conversations with us:

• Send “DELETE MY DATA” to our WhatsApp number, +92 321 4442338, from the number you used with us; or
• Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data” and the name and number you used with us.

We will confirm your request, delete your messages, documents and contact details from our devices and accounts, and reply within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires us to keep (for example invoices), and tell you what that is. Data held by Meta under your own WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram account is controlled by Meta and can be deleted from your account settings.

10. Children

Our services are for businesses and their owners. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be pointed out to clients with an active file.
